![]() I have access to a video guy but the budget wouldn’t stretch to him sat onsite for hours changing the file, exporting and then the customer changing it again. I'm running the demo version of mad mapper and as such the export options are not available, so would like to investigate how best to achieve this using a method I'm comfortable with as I don't have vast video editing knowledge and only have basic editing software. To prove the need, Mad mapper has already crashed twice. I'm a fan of Brightsigns and have a good few in stock exactly for this type of player requirement, so would love to implement the corrected file on a brightsign. My concern is like you have said reliability of running a computer based solution for so long. This afternoon I've had a bit of a play with mad mapper, it all seems pretty reasonable, does what I need and is my kind of software, all in at a reasonable price. ![]() We have done a number of permanent mapping installs where its mapped onsite using madmapper and then once spot on the exhibition files rendered and played back on a brightsign player - then if the power goes off it doesnt need someone to go there and reload everything. Its no more work and its the sensible option. Other programmes have similar methods of getting a recording of the output. ![]() In madmapper you use syphon recorder to get an output, in Ae you instal the projector as the 2nd screen and use it full screen as a preview and then export. id not expect a computer / software solution to last 3 months without user interaction, wheras thats what media players such as brightsigns are designed for. Its not only cheaper, but its going to be more reliable. We have done this many times and you simply do all the nonsense needed in whatever programme suits then make a predeformed video that will playback on a suitable media player. For a three month instal id not tie up an expensive machine running expensive software for the duration.
